If you've been researching new Honda vehicles, you may be wondering, "what is Honda LaneWatch™"? Or perhaps you've heard of it and are thinking, "how does Honda LaneWatch™ work"? This Honda safety feature, available on model years from 2012 to 2019, helps drivers stay in the know of what's happening on the passenger side of their vehicle without taking their eyes off the road. This feature is standard or available on a wide range of Honda models and is easy to operate. Learn more about how Honda LaneWatch™ works with the help of Honda City and you'll be one step closer to a safer Orland Park commute!

How Does Honda LaneWatch™ Work?

Let's dive into how Honda LaneWatch™ works. Similar to a blind spot monitoring system, Honda LaneWatch™ includes a camera installed below the vehicle's right, passenger-side mirror. The camera transmits images to the main display screen, which you can easily see while driving without taking your eyes off the Oak Park streets. You can get a clear view of your blind spot, which makes it easier and safer to make turns or change lanes. While this is a high-tech security aid, you'll also want to note that Honda LaneWatch™ is a safety enhancement rather than a complete substitute.

Using Honda LaneWatch™

Thankfully, LaneWatch™ is incredibly simple to use and doesn't take much effort apart from signaling a turn. Activating your right turning signal will turn the system on, which powers on the camera automatically. An image of your blind zone will appear on your central display screen. Another way to turn on the system is to press the button located on the end of the turning signal control. Press the button again to turn the system off. Want to change the settings of Honda LaneWatch™? Here's how:

  • Choose "Settings" on the home screen
  • Next, choose "camera"
  • Choose "LaneWatch™"
  • Make changes as directed on the screen
  • Press "back" to exit
