Understanding Vehicle Crash Ratings

With two distinct automobile crash rating systems, it is easier than ever to examine and evaluate the safety of any new vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is a federal government organization which uses a star system spread out over three unique tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is a non-profit group funded by insurance companies. The IIHS gives a rating based on five separate crash tests.

The safety experts at Honda City Chicago understand that the process of evaluating vehicle safety ratings can often be overwhelming. Our team of professional and friendly associates is on hand to help you navigate through the safety ratings and make an informed automobile purchasing decision.
